All in the same boat w/out Total Obedience to CHRIST

  I don’t think that the situation that we are talking about is one that is rare by any means. There are many men and women who have been married for years and then decide to follow their lust and leave God. And whether people agree are not that’s what it is following their own lust which we are all guilty of from time to time. Understand I am not what most people are used to in today’s world when they label someone a Christian.The church world has honed in on homosexuality as the new soapbox! Why would they do this? The reason is because most of what used to be preached homosexuality, adultery, fornication, lying, theft, murder gossip the way people dress,  what they listen to, and a multitude of other sins the Bible is explicit in naming, have been absorbed into the church and to make them still feels saved and clean the one thing that the hypocrites can rely own is homosexuality still being viewed by most as sin!
     The Bible speaks of these times in the following passage:
      “And into the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write these things saith
       the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
      I know thy works, that thou art neither hot nor cold: I would that thou wert
      hot or cold. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I
      will spew the out of my mouth. Because  thou sayest, I am rich, and increased
     with goods, and have need of nothing: and knowest not that thou art wretched,
     and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:” (Revelation 3:14-17)
    There are so many other sins just as unholy as homosexuality but no one wants to talk about those anymore, for example Adultery.
There are many people in the church world today that are breaking these commandments, but will be quick to let you know that you have misinterpreted the scripture! Many other things could be pointed out about the place that we go to hear the word of God preached by people who are breaking a lot of the Commandments! I personally had a best friend who was sleeping with the preacher at her church, and him a married man. However, even if he had divorced his wife he could not have married my friend as we just heard and read in the scripture. Many people will come up with other excuses such as their partner was violent, they cheated on them, they cursed them,or they just couldn’t live together anymore, etc! Too that I say fine! I wouldn’t want anyone to suffer violence, humiliation, and so on, in fact I would encourage them to leave that situation!! However, if you plan to continue to serve God then you must remain single unless you return to your husband or wife, your first husband or wife! The word of God makes that very clear and when I hear people who are living in an adulterous marriage condemning homosexuality I want to say to them, “and why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brothers eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?  Or how wilt thou say to that brother, let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.” (Matthew 7:3,4,5) These are not my judgments! I did not come up with them on my own and, if you will read your KJV Bible the verses in the chapter that I quoted to you, you will see that Christ himself said these things.

     My point in all of this is that a relationship with Christ calls for self-sacrifice; we cannot seek our own wants and desires; we must deny self,  pick up our crosses and follow Him.  Remember the Scripture says, “know Ye not the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.  (James 4:4)
Now adultery is a topic that is undoubtably going to stir up a lot of anger, but the truth of the scripture is undeniable it applies to every part of a persons life and every word in it is to be taken literally.

So what does the Bible say about adultery? Let’s limit our search to the New Testament starting with Matthew 5:27 “Ye have heard that it was said by them of all time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28- but I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Now let’s go to Matthew 5:32- “but I say unto you, that whosoever shall put away his wife, save for the calls of fornication, cost of her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.” Matthew 19:9 “and I say unto you, whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery”. First Corinthians 7:11, “But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband let not the husband put away his wife.” First Corinthians 7:10 “And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, let not the wife depart from her husband:” Romans 7:3 “So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulterous: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law so that she is no adulterous though she be married to another man.” Mark 10:12 “And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committed adultery.” (I want to be very clear here!  Just because the pronoun “she” is used that does not mean that what Jesus was talking about doesn’t also apply to men.)
