ARE YOU AN ARK BUILDER?

My Facebook post today was “Are you an art builder?“. I’m sure that confused a lot of people and made a lot of people think.
So let’s go back to the beginning to discover exactly what I’m talking about: we read in Genesis chapter 6 verses 5-8, “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was on evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy the man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and the beast, and the creeping thing, and the fouls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” Now we move to Genesis chapter 6 verse 13, “And God said unto Noah, the end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.”
And we know that God told Noah to build the Ark, told him what to make it out of and everything else that needed to be done to keep God’s commandment for Noah. It took Noah many years to complete the Ark, I imagine, all the while people were coming around and talking with each other saying, “That crazy Noah! It’s never rained we don’t even know rain! He says some God told him that He was going to flood the earth and everything was going to die. Can you believe that? So, are you going to the party tonight?” Maybe some even tried to dissuade Noah from building the Ark saying things like, “Our “scientist” or “prophets”, whatever they called them, “they don’t say anything about this happening. You should just go back to living your life!”
Boy were they wrong! We know what happen next the whole world flooded and all life on earth that wasn’t in the Ark died. A sobering thought!
Ark builder, part 2:
Today we have heard for many years, yes even many generations, that the world is coming to an end, judgment day is coming, the need for salvation through the blood of Christ, the horrors of hell for the unsaved soul, reading the Bible is important, following the commandments of God is essential and not to lean on our own understanding or the understanding of prominent scientist and doctors and theologians but on the word of God.
God has told us in His word that the end of time will come. We have it in an entire book called, The Bible! Many people read it, but how many of those who read it actually HEAR it’s words and warnings? My guess is fewer than 5%. Oh Bryan, how can you say that! Well take a look at the world we live in and the things that go on around us every day.
In His word God has told everyone that, “it’s going to flood”, so to speak. Just like He told Noah that He was going to destroy the world He has told us! Metaphorically, are you gathering your Gopher wood, measuring out the rooms, the window, how many stories it’ll be, and gathering the animals? Or are you with the crowd saying, “Look at those crazy Christians! They say that God told them He was going to destroy the world, and that there was going to be a judgment day and some people would go to hell and some to heaven! They believe all this and get it from some book called the Bible. Can you believe that!?”
After putting down all that the Holy Ghost has laid on my heart to write, we are led back to the original question,
“Are you an Ark builder?”
